Can medication alone cure coronary heart disease?

First of all, medication is the most basic part of coronary artery disease treatment, which is used in all stages of coronary artery disease treatment, whether it is after stent implantation or bypass, it cannot be separated from the basic medication. For example, antiplatelet drugs, betablockers, and drugs related to the control of hypertension, hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia, as well as dietary therapy. However, these drugs alone cannot cure coronary heart disease. If the diagnosis is confirmed by coronary angiography (the gold standard for diagnosis) and stenting or bypass therapy is required, you are at high risk of choosing medication alone, such as recurrence of angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, or even sudden death. If you are diagnosed with early stage coronary artery disease that does not yet require stenting or bypass, you should also undergo adequate primary therapy with the goal of improving symptoms and preventing progression and recurrence. This can be reviewed in the context of secondary prevention of coronary heart disease.
