Pain in the right side of the neck can be caused by the following diseases: First, some patients with cervical spondylosis are associated with prolonged chronic strain, and in addition, osteophytes and bone degeneration can easily induce the appearance of cervical spondylosis. Patients exhibit neck pain, numbness and weakness of the upper limbs, and some patients also have obvious impairment of limb movement and abnormal sensation. After diagnosis, physical therapy should be actively chosen and strain or weight bearing should be avoided. Second, some patients have thyroid disorders, especially thyroiditis secondary to upper respiratory tract infections, and may have diffuse swelling and pain in the front of the neck, as well as abnormal nail function. Thirdly, some patients may have pain in the neck due to tumors of the thyroid gland, and may even have enlarged lymph nodes in the neck.
