Frequent belching every day is mainly considered to be related to mental factors, poor lifestyle and pathologic factors. 1. Psychological factors: in the case of mental tension, it will lead to increased salivary secretion. During frequent swallowing of saliva, a large amount of air will be swallowed, which in turn triggers belching. 2. Bad habits: such as frequent consumption of sweet potatoes, cabbage and other gas-producing foods, or overeating, can lead to an increase in gas in the stomach and intestines, triggering belching. 3. Pathologic factors: (1) Reflux esophagitis: the contents of the stomach or duodenum reflux into the esophagus, causing lesions of the esophageal mucosa, irritating the esophagus and causing hiccups. You can take acid-suppressing drugs such as omeprazole to inhibit the secretion of gastric acid; you can also take gastrointestinal stimulants such as domperidone. (2) Chronic gastritis: most patients with chronic gastritis have no obvious symptoms, with indigestion, acid reflux hiccups as the main manifestation, which may be caused by a combination of gastric inflammation, gastrointestinal insufficiency of power, dysfunction of the bacterial flora and so on. (3) Peptic ulcer: such as gastric ulcer, can also trigger belching, acid reflux, stomach pain and other symptoms. Frequent belching may also be associated with other causes, such as gastrointestinal neurosis and pyloric spasm. It is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible to confirm the diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
