Joint dysfunction after limb fracture

  Functional impairment of the joint after fracture Fracture or fracture combined with joint ligament injury, after surgery or cast fixation, often causes contracture and adhesion of the joint ligaments, thus affecting the movement of the joint. If treatment is not timely, the dysfunction may last for a long time and affect the normal movement of the body.  The main manifestations are: various activities of the joint cannot reach the normal range of motion, stiffness and pain when moving the joint with force, and difficulty in movement. The most simple and easy exercise method is to hold the wooden handle of a hammer with the affected hand and make the hammer tilt outward in external rotation and turn it over inward in internal rotation.  4.Elbow joint extension and flexion functional exercise The functional exercise of elbow joint extension and flexion can be done by two pulleys, holding the handle with one hand and pulling or relaxing the hammer to exercise the extension and flexion function of the elbow joint.  5.Functional exercise of the shoulder joint When the shoulder joint supination is impaired, you can use the hand ladder for practice. Start by pressing the fingers of the affected limb on the appropriate height of the ladder, and then gradually move your fingers up to the highest point of the shoulder joint supination. By practicing this daily and raising the height of the lift, you can improve the movement of the shoulder joint. If you do not have this equipment, you can also use your fingers to touch the wall, and you can receive the same effect by practicing this method.  6.Knee function exercises Knee function exercises can be done in hospitals where there are conditions to use knee function exercisers. Or the pulley fixed in the front stop side of the bed, traction rope tied at each end of a set, respectively, on the two ankle joints using the extension and flexion of the lower limb of the healthy side, drive the knee joint activities of the affected limb.
