The general stage of progression of rectal cancer is N-stage. If distinguished according to the severity, it may be stage III rectal cancer.
Rectal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in digestive tract, and clinically, rectal cancer is divided into T stage, N stage and M stage, while the progressive stage of rectal cancer is N stage, which indicates the presence of local lymph node metastasis.
Secondly, if it is further classified according to TNM staging, according to the severity of rectal cancer, it can be classified into stage 0~IV, and the progression stage of rectal cancer is mostly considered to be stage Ⅲ rectal cancer, mainly because in most cases from stage Ⅲ onwards, the primary tumor starts to develop local lymph node metastasis, but without distant metastasis.
Since the prognosis of rectal cancer is closely related to its clinical stage, patients are recommended to have early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment. At the same time, strengthening daily life management and regular follow-up visits can facilitate doctors to monitor the changes of the condition, which can reduce the recurrence rate to a certain extent.
