Brushing and gargling with small blood clots may be caused by periodontitis or blood system diseases, it is recommended to seek periodontal treatment or specialized treatment.
1. Periodontitis is a long-term oral hygiene is poor, resulting in bacteria and decomposition products repeatedly stimulate the periodontal tissues, and then the symptoms of inflammation and bleeding of the gums; if the inflammation is more heavy bleeding, the blood will be coagulated into blood clots attached to the gums, easy to be cleaned out when brushing and rinsing. The treatment should be periodontal therapy (such as ultrasonic cleaning) to remove bacteria and its decomposition products to cure bleeding gums.
2. Diseases of the blood system (such as leukemia) may cause abnormalities in the body’s coagulation function, leading to bleeding of the skin and mucous membranes, which in turn leads to the symptoms mentioned above; specialized treatment is required to avoid serious bleeding accidents.
Prompt medical examination and treatment is recommended.
