Generally light therapy is not required after circumcision. The need for phototherapy after circumcision depends on the patient’s recovery and whether the patient accepts it.
For the vast majority of patients, after circumcision, on-time disinfection and good postoperative care, can avoid postoperative infections and other complications, most of them can heal normally, without phototherapy.
Phototherapy is red light therapy, which is mainly used for anti-inflammatory and sterilization. For patients who do not pay attention to sterilization after circumcision or have sex too early, causing serious secondary infections, on the basis of strengthening the dressing change and oral anti-infective drugs, and after communicating with the patient to agree, phototherapy can be used to assist in the treatment.
