What kind of medicine men take to expel dampness and heat needs to be chosen according to the identification and typing, which can be categorized into dampness and heat of liver and gallbladder, dampness and heat of the large intestine and dampness and heat of the bladder, and so on, and therefore can correspondingly be treated with medicines such as Longdian Diarrhea and Liver Pill, Ge Ge Ge Ba Lien Pill and Ba Zhen Combined Pill, and so on.
1. Longdian Diarrhea Liver Pill: It has the effect of clearing the fire of liver and gallbladder, and can also clear the damp-heat of liver and gallbladder, so it can be used for treating the manifestation of damp-heat of liver and gallbladder such as dizziness and redness of eyes as well as tinnitus, deafness, dystocia, and bitterness of the mouth. It should not be taken for a long time by people with weak spleen and stomach.
2. Scutellaria Baicalensis Pill: It has the efficacy of relieving muscle (relieving evil qi on the surface of the skin) and transmitting the surface, and it can also clear away heat, relieve dampness and stop diarrhea, so it can be used for diarrhea and abdominal pain caused by dampness-heat of the spleen and stomach, as well as symptoms such as yellow and sticky stools and burning in the anus. It is not suitable for those who have diarrhea with cold spleen and stomach.
3. Bazheng Combination: It has the effect of clearing heat, and can also diuretic and diuresis, so it can be used for symptoms such as short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow color), as well as astringent and painful gonorrhea caused by dampness-heat in the bladder. Pregnant women are not allowed to take it.
Damp-Heat is also present in other syndromes such as Damp-Heat in the Spleen and Stomach which can be treated with Qingzhong Tang. Before taking the above medicines, it should be used under the guidance of a Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be purchased and used on its own to avoid delaying the condition.
