The normal values of cerebrospinal fluid examination include the normal values of general properties, chemical examination, microscopic examination, etc., as follows. 1. General properties: colorless or light yellow, clear and transparent, no clots, no precipitation (no film formation after 24h), specific gravity 1.006~1.008, cerebrospinal fluid pressure 80~180mmH₂O for adults in the prone position, cerebrospinal fluid pressure 40~100mmH₂O for children. 2. Chemical examination: protein qualitatively negative or weakly positive, quantitatively 0.2~0.4g/L, glucose 2.5~4.4mmol/L, chloride 111~123mmol/L in children, chloride 120~130mmol/L in adults, lactate dehydrogenase 8~32U, glutamic oxaloacetic aminotransferase 5~20U, and glutamic alanine aminotransferase 5~15U. 3. Microscopic examination: no red blood cells, children’s white blood cells 0~15*106/L, adult white blood cells 0~8*106/L. If there are abnormalities in cerebrospinal fluid examination, such as red appearance, positive protein quantification, and the presence of red blood cells, it is recommended to consult a doctor promptly.
