What causes itching on the sides of the cheeks

Itchy cheeks can be caused by physiological factors such as irritation of the skin by foreign objects, dehydration of the skin, or by diseases such as folliculitis, acne, or eczema.

1. Physiological factors: If the skin is stimulated by dust, pollen and other substances or if the skin is dehydrated, it may cause itching on both sides of the cheeks.

2. Folliculitis: If the face is not cleaned properly, or if the skin is not properly cared for after being stimulated by trauma, bacterial or fungal infections may trigger folliculitis, resulting in itching in the affected area, itchy cheeks, red cheeks, pain and other symptoms.

3. Eczema: contact with allergens, staying in a humid environment for a long time, and frequent contact with chemicals may induce eczema, resulting in itching, redness and swelling of the cheeks and other symptoms.

There are various causes of itchy cheeks. After eliminating the physiological factors, it is recommended to go to the local hospital to find out the cause of the disease.
