Methods of traction for spinal stenosis

The traction method for spinal stenosis is mainly to open the lumbar vertebral space, including two methods of sitting and lying traction. 1. Sitting traction: mainly for cervical spine traction, by using the weight of the lower limb itself, traction of the occipital-maxillary belt, that is, the traction belt is placed in the occiput and below the jawbone, the weight of the body weight is generally 1/10~1/15, about 6~7Kg, traction time 20~30 minutes. 2. Prone traction: mainly for lumbar traction, fixing the forearm of the upper limb and the lower limb on both sides of the iliac joints, traction weight is 1/3~1/2 of the body weight, generally 25~30Kg, traction time 30~60 minutes. Traction can relieve the symptoms of mild spinal stenosis, traction is not recommended for severe spinal stenosis. For severe spinal stenosis, traction treatment is not recommended.
