Symptoms of chronic alcoholism

Long-term alcohol consumption can lead to chronic alcoholism in patients, with the following clinical manifestations: 1. Patients often have serious dependence on alcohol products, which often manifests as weakness, body tremors, restlessness, and even convulsions and coma once the intake of alcohol products is stopped. Once the patient is given alcohol products, the above symptoms will be relieved or disappear rapidly. 2. Long-term heavy drinking can lead to signs of damage to the heart, liver, kidneys, nervous system and other related organs. Patients may show signs of weakness, flushing, capillary dilation, liver palms, spider nevus, wasting, anemia, insomnia, unresponsiveness, and decreased tolerance for activities. In severe cases, the patient may die due to alcoholic cirrhosis, alcoholic cardiomyopathy, etc. In clinical treatment, patients should be given abstinence from alcohol, or gradually reduce alcohol intake, as well as related organ function, related support and protection treatment.
