How old are Hiroki polyps for surgery

Broad-based polyp is generally used to describe polyps of the gastrointestinal tract observed under gastroscopy or colonoscopy. If the broad-based polyp is invasive, surgical removal is recommended. The need for surgical removal of a polyp is not directly related to the size of the polyp, as large benign polyps can be removed endoscopically. Generally, broad-based polyps do not grow very large, and in all cases, they can be removed endoscopically, and pathologic examination is routinely required after removal. A broad-based polyp is a type of polyp that grows flat and does not elevate. If the broad-based polyp is relatively small, it can be removed by direct endoscopic lancing; if the broad-based polyp is large, close to 2 cm, it can be removed endoscopically by submucosal injection of methylene blue plus glycerol fructose, which causes the polyp to bulge. If the staining reveals that the polyp is invasive, it will need to be removed surgically and intraoperative pathology will be done to decide whether to extend the surgery and lymph node dissection, as well as whether to carry out further anti-tumor therapy after surgery.
