Is chronic wheezing bronchitis the same thing as bronchial asthma?

Both bronchial asthma and chronic wheezing bronchitis can have wheezing symptoms, but they are two diseases. (1) Onset characteristics: chronic wheezing bronchitis usually starts with cough and sputum, then wheezing appears later, and the lungs can be heard as wet monk’s woven snail.5 The wheezing of asthma is characterized by sudden onset and sudden relief, and the lungs are covered with croup during the onset, with no cough or sputum symptoms during the interval, i.e., when there is no onset, as in normal people. (2) Onset: chronic wheezing bronchitis has a late age of onset, and family history and allergy history are not significant. Bronchial asthma often develops in childhood, with a family history and personal history of allergy. (3) Time of attack (exacerbation): chronic wheezing bronchitis is aggravated in autumn and winter or during cold, and its symptoms are often prolonged, with no significant improvement in lung function after application of bronchodilators. Bronchial asthma has its own characteristics according to different types of onset time, for example, asthma caused by pollen allergy develops in the pollen season; asthma caused by infection is mostly aggravated in the season of climate change; exercise asthma occurs after exercise; menstrual asthma onset is closely related to the menstrual cycle, etc. Pulmonary function improves significantly after the application of bronchodilators for asthma.
