Confirmation of pregnancy is the determination of pregnancy, which is the scientific name for what we call pregnancy in common parlance. There are three conditions to determine pregnancy: first, a history of menopause, i.e., menopause is when menstruation is due; second, a positive blood or urine pregnancy test indicates a possible pregnancy; third, and more importantly, an ultrasound to find out if there is a gestational sac in the uterine cavity, and if a gestational sac can be seen in the uterine cavity, pregnancy is basically confirmed. Therefore, the three conditions for pregnancy are: first, a history of menopause; second, a positive pregnancy test; and third, the presence of a gestational sac in the uterine cavity can be seen by ultrasound.
