Hand tremor in the elderly may be related to psychosomatic factors, or it may be caused by idiopathic tremor and Parkinson’s disease.
1. Psychosomatic factors: If the elderly suddenly encounter certain stressful events, resulting in excessive mood swings, anger and anxiety, which may easily cause sympathetic excitability to increase, it may cause hand tremor.
2. Idiopathic tremor: This disease is a movement disorder, and the typical symptom of the patient is uncontrollable shaking of a certain part of the body, which may cause the patient to show symptoms of hand tremor, and may also be accompanied by head tremor. Especially in the state of emotional excitement, excessive fatigue, etc., the symptoms are particularly obvious.
3. Parkinson’s disease: this disease is a degenerative disease of the nervous system in the middle-aged and elderly, which can make the patients suffer from extrapyramidal dysfunction and static tremor, usually starting from one side of the hand or foot, and can be accompanied by abnormal posture and gait, and slow movement and other symptoms.
Hand tremor in the elderly may also be related to other factors, and should be consulted as soon as possible for early intervention and treatment after a clear diagnosis.
