Hashimoto causes a little fast heart rate, how to treat it

Fast heart rate caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is usually temporary, and can be controlled by symptomatic use of propranolol, etc., which should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
Fast heart rate due to Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is usually temporary, as destruction of the thyroid follicles can cause the release of stored thyroid hormones into the circulation, resulting in transient hyperthyroidism symptoms, such as fast heart rate, hand tremors, and fear of heat. However, subsequently, due to further destruction of thyroid cells, patients may eventually present with symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Fast heart rate caused by Hashimoto’s thyroiditis usually does not require antithyroid medication, and can be controlled by symptomatic use of beta-blockers such as propranolol. If Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is combined with toxic diffuse goiter, which causes symptoms such as rapid heart rate, antithyroid medications such as propylthiouracil and methimazole are needed.
If Hashimoto’s thyroiditis causes rapid heart rate, it is recommended to go to the endocrinology department to complete the examination and be treated accordingly. All of the above drugs should be used under medical supervision.
