Herpes zoster is a skin disease caused by chickenpox-herpes zoster virus infection. Before the rash appears, there will be fever, malaise, loss of appetite, burning sensation, tenderness, and erythema on the affected skin.
After that, there will be millet to soybean-sized papules, clustered distribution and not fusion, and then quickly become blisters, blister wall is tense and shiny, blister liquid clarification, the surrounding skin will appear red halo, most of the skin between the blisters is normal, and most of them will be distributed along a nerve band.
Herpes zoster is a self-limiting disease, the course of the disease is usually 2~3 weeks, the elderly about 3~4 weeks, as the disease recovers, the blisters dry up, after the scabs fall off, there will be a temporary light-colored erythema or hyperpigmentation.
