There are many reasons for women’s left thigh pain, but most of them are due to cold, strain, trauma and infection. For example, bursitis of the hip joint is the most common, which includes bursitis of the greater trochanter, bursitis of the gluteus medius muscle, bursitis of the sciatic bone, bursitis of the iliopubic ramus, or popping hip; it can also be due to osteoarthritis of the hip joint, such as osteoarthritis of the hip joint, inflammatory arthritis, septic arthritis, or due to hip dislocation and subluxation, etc., and it can be diagnosed by combining with pelvic plain radiographs and joint fluid examination and laboratory tests. Thigh pain can also occur if the hip joint has been replaced with a prosthesis and there is loosening of the prosthesis or a fracture around the prosthesis, e.g. X-rays and bone scans can clarify the diagnosis. Bone pain due to abnormal sensation needs to be diagnosed clearly with history and sensory examination. It can be caused by ischemic necrosis of the hip joint or hidden fracture of the femoral neck, tumor, etc., which can be diagnosed by combining with magnetic resonance scanning of the hip; it can also be caused by involving pain, such as involving pain in the lumbosacral segment of the spine, sacroiliitis, vascular occlusive disease, or inguinal hernia, etc., which can lead to the manifestation of soreness at the root of the left thigh.
