Does a mother’s fox odor go to her son or daughter?

Fox odor is hereditary, but it is not inherited exactly in an autosomal dominant manner, thus a mother’s fox odor may be passed on to her son or daughter.

Halitosis, also known as armpit odor, is a common skin disease in which secretions from the apical sweat glands in the armpits are broken down by bacteria on the skin, producing a peculiar pungent and unpleasant odor. There is a certain genetic predisposition to bad breath, and the more parents, brothers and sisters who have it, the higher the likelihood that it will be inherited. However, it does not follow Mendel’s law of inheritance, as the prevalence of the disease in children is the same when the mother has it.

It is important to note, however, that if the children do not develop bad breath before puberty, the chances of inheritance are not very high.
