What is the cause of cold feet in diabetes

There are two causes of cold feet in diabetic patients: 1. diabetic peripheral vascular disease, because diabetic patients are easily combined with narrowing or occlusion of the lower extremity blood vessels, which can lead to poor peripheral circulation in the diabetic foot, with cold skin. 2. combined with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, but early diabetic peripheral neuropathy, patients can appear numbness and pain sensation in both feet. With further aggravation of the disease, numbness and pain sensation gradually disappears, manifesting as cold feet and complete loss of sensitivity to temperature or pain stimuli. Therefore, if a diabetic patient has cold feet, on the one hand, he/she should check the arterial ultrasound of both lower extremities; on the other hand, he/she should do the nerve conduction examination of the lower extremities to further understand what causes the cold feet and take targeted medication.
