Exposed tooth roots are easier to detect when patients examine their mouths. If you find white hard tissue exposed in the gums, or if your teeth have grown longer, the gaps between them are larger and you are sensitive to hot and cold stimuli and acidic foods, you may have an exposed tooth root.
