Full femtosecond myopia surgery has mature technology and high safety, generally there is no obvious harm, but some patients may have postoperative complications such as dry eye, corneal edema, eye infection and cone cornea.
1. Dry eye: some patients may have corneal hyperalgesia and reduced transient reflex after surgery, which leads to reduced tear secretion and causes dry eye.
2. Corneal edema: some patients may have corneal edema and corneal clouding after the operation, which may lead to vision loss, iris vision, foggy vision and other uncomfortable symptoms.
3. Eye infection: If patients do not pay attention to eye hygiene or use anti-infective eye drops as prescribed by the doctor, eye infections such as infectious keratitis may occur, and patients may suffer from conjunctival congestion, photophobia, tearing and other uncomfortable symptoms.
4. Nocturnal flare and visual impairment: some patients may have colorful rings of light when they look at things at night after surgery, which affects their night vision.
5. Conical cornea: For some patients with insufficient corneal thickness, patients may develop conical cornea after total femtosecond myopia surgery.
It is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instructions for care, regular review, and timely consultation after discomfort occurs.
