What to look for during a gynecology visit

China is the most populous country in the world, and Chinese doctors are dealing with the largest patient population in the world, and it is a common fact that medical resources are scarce. Every doctor, especially those in larger cities or more prestigious hospitals, faces greater pressure from patients – dozens or even hundreds of patient inquiries every day. For doctors, each patient is a test, and they need to analyze the patient’s condition, combine their experience and medical expertise, and make a conclusion about the patient’s disease in a short period of time. How to solve the problem in the shortest possible time, the most efficient and effective medical treatment and practice, the best use and optimization of medical resources is the issue that both doctors and patients should actively participate in the discussion. I am here to talk about a few issues that patients should pay attention to when visiting the clinic, purely my humble opinion, for your reference and criticism. First of all, we should clarify our thinking about medical treatment, and clarify the discomfort that affects us the most and the most urgent desire for medical treatment, so that we can write down all the discomfort and desire in order of seriousness or urgency, and write them down on paper if necessary, so that we can communicate with the doctor in an organized manner and pick the most important consultation. Secondly, when visiting the doctor, the results of previous laboratory tests should be organized in chronological order and in different categories, so that the doctor can grasp the patient’s condition in the shortest possible time. Third, the patient should try to describe the facts of the disease in simple language, and try to eliminate emotional and lengthy descriptions of the medical process and details, because the doctor’s judgment of the disease is just like the title of the focus interview – speak with facts. Fourth, try not to explore the cause of the disease during the consultation, because many diseases cannot be explained or have only hypothetical causes, and the doctor’s explanation needs to use professional language, which is not always understandable to the patient in a short time. Fifth, choose the right moment to ask questions that you want to understand. For example, if the doctor is surrounded by patients, it is difficult for him or her to have enough time to explain to you. If you wait until there are not many patients before making a consultation, you may get a more detailed answer. Sixth, try not to talk about issues unrelated to the disease during the limited time of your visit, such as whether you can be reimbursed, the doctor doesn’t always care that much. Seventh, all treatments, whether surgical or pharmacological, can only be truly known after they have been tried, and it is sometimes difficult for doctors to predict the outcome before treatment, just as it is impossible for a professional and experienced sportsperson to tell you the score before a ball game, unless the game is rigged. Eighth, don’t go to a famous hospital and meet the doctor you want to see and have high expectations that all your problems will be solved. Because the disease is infinite and the treatment is limited, otherwise everyone will live forever and everything will be fine. It is important to have an objective understanding of the disease and an objective estimate of the outcome of the visit, otherwise it will aggravate the emotion of failure. You may say, you as doctors should be patient to answer all the questions raised by patients, on the one hand, to solve the physical ailments of patients, but also take into account the psychological problems of patients, you earn this money, should be so. This is not wrong, the medical treatment itself is to include both physical and psychological treatment, and to answer questions to patients, however, I would like to say that you should also look at the survival of doctors, if they (they) look at the newspaper while drinking tea, carelessly answer your questions, it means that the doctor is very incompetent. But if doctors don’t even have time to go to the bathroom and don’t have normal meal times, please think about it a little when you ask questions.
