What are the indications for LEEP?

Usually Leep surgery is a minimally invasive surgical method that uses a high-frequency electric knife to cut and stop bleeding of human tissues using microwaves, which is more widely used in gynecological diagnosis and treatment of cervical lesions.
Common indications:
1. If cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) grade II or III is suspected after cervical cytology and colposcopy;
2. persistent cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) grade I and inability to follow up regularly;
3. Suspected of having early invasive carcinoma of the cervix or carcinoma in situ;
4. with cervical warts;
5. Suffering from cervical inflammation and bleeding after repeated coitus with poor results of conservative treatment.
Leep surgery is characterized by less pain, less bleeding, shorter operation time, safety, obvious efficacy and less complication, and it can usually be completed in outpatient, without hospitalization, with less cost for the patient and shorter period of missed work. Although Leep surgery has various advantages, it is also important to pay attention to the selection of indications.
It is recommended that if abnormal discomfort occurs, under the guidance of a physician and according to their own situation, to determine whether they need to perform this surgery, so as not to delay the condition.
