Difference between Ermiao Pills and Ermiao San

Ermiao Pill is a proprietary Chinese medicine based on a variation of the traditional Chinese medicine formula Ermiao San, the difference between the two is mainly due to the difference in dosage form. Ermiao San is composed of Huangbai and Cangzhu, and is a loose dosage. It is mainly used for treating the evidence of dampness-heat underflow (dampness and heat evils invading the intestines, bladder, pubic area and lower limbs). Symptoms include pain in the tendons and bones, or impotence and weakness in both feet, or redness, swelling and pain in the feet and knees, or dampness-heat subluxation, or wet sores and eczema in the lower part, and short and reddish urine (small amount of urine with dark yellow color). Ermiao Pill is a yellowish brown spherical or spherical-like water pill, used for the treatment of leucorrhea caused by dampness-heat downstream, scrotal wetness and itching.
