Juvenile hypertrophic cardiomyopathy refers to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy that develops before the age of 20 and has a high incidence of sudden death, which is the highest risk group. Current medical treatments such as drugs, alcohol ablation and surgery can improve symptoms in some patients with HCM, but do not reverse the diseased myocardium. It has been found that a new drug therapy given to adolescent patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy may not only improve symptoms but also reverse ventricular hypertrophy in some patients. We are now recruiting adolescent patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy who are interested in this treatment option, which has the potential to delay and reverse the course of ventricular hypertrophy.
