Eggplant leaf refers to the leaves of the eggplant, which has the effect of dispersing blood and reducing swelling, and is used as a main treatment for conditions such as hemorrhagic drenching (the appearance of blood in the urine accompanied by a painful sensation), carbuncles and swellings (a symptom of localized swelling caused by qi and blood being trapped by evil poisons and becoming congested and impassable), and other conditions. Aubergine leaf is sweet, pungent and neutral in nature, and belongs to a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, which refers to the leaves of the aubergine plant of the Solanaceae family. Since, eggplant leaves can play a role in dispersing blood and reducing swelling, it can be used clinically to treat conditions such as hemorrhagic drenching, bloody dysentery (a type of dysentery, in which the diarrhea is a blood-colored mucus), intestinal wind and blood in the bowel (blood follows the bowels), and externally for treating carbuncles, frostbite, and swellings. The adverse effects of this product are not known. Patients must use Aubergine Leaf under the guidance of a doctor, and must not use the drug without authorization to prevent aggravation of the condition and delay treatment.
