Most of the macular lesions in the fundus of the eye cannot be cured by themselves, and a few macular lesions, such as central plasma retinochoroidopathy, have the possibility of self-healing. The main clinical manifestations of macular degeneration are vision loss and distorted vision. Centralized plasma retinochoroidopathy, which often occurs in young people, has the possibility of self-healing, but there are many patients who cannot recover on their own, and it is recommended that these patients seek medical treatment promptly. However, macular degeneration such as retinal vein occlusion, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration cannot be cured on their own, and require vitreous injection of anti-VGEF (vascular endothelial growth factor) medication or laser treatment, or in severe cases, vitrectomy surgery. It is recommended that patients suffering from macular degeneration of the fundus go to regular hospitals for timely consultation and treatment as prescribed by the doctor, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
