Early clinical signs of spastic paraplegia

Early clinical symptoms of spastic paraplegia include stiffness of the limbs, clumsy movements, and falling down; some patients also have dysarthria.
In the early stage of spastic paraplegia, the patient’s limbs will show obvious abnormalities, such as stiffness of hands, stiffness of both lower limbs, easy to fall, scissor gait, and clumsiness of hands, and some of the patients will also have mild dysarthria, urinary incontinence, urinary urgency, and so on.
Continuous aggravation of the lesions, without timely treatment, may make the patient bedridden for a long period of time, and prone to induce lung infections, decubitus ulcers and other complications.
Therefore, after the appearance of the above symptoms, we should seek medical examination and treatment as soon as possible to avoid delaying the condition, and during the treatment, we should also do a good job of daily care to avoid complications.
