Can ultrasound detect cervical cancer?

Ultrasound cannot detect cervical cancer. Ultrasound only belongs to imaging, which can only determine whether there is any localized hyperplasia of the cervix. If you want to determine whether it is cervical cancer or not, you need to carry out examinations and pathologic tests to determine whether it is cervical cancer or not. For example, there will be TCT and HPV tests, TCT can determine whether the cytology is low-grade endometriosis or high-grade endometriosis, and HPV will be positive for HPV16 and HPV18, which can also determine whether there is cervical cancer. Ultimately, it depends on the results of the cervical biopsy. If the results of the cervical biopsy indicate that there is high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, there may be cervical cancer, and the next step in the treatment should be carried out, for example, Sharp Knife treatment, including cervical conization treatment, and after conization, the excised tissues have to be tested in order to determine whether there is cervical cancer or not. If it is determined to be cervical cancer, early surgery is needed to get rid of the pathogenic bacteria and increase the chances of life.
