Trembling and convulsions in late stage of bile duct cancer are mostly due to biliary tract infection, tumor metastasis and other cerebrovascular accidents. 1. Biliary tract infection: when some bile duct cancer patients develop into advanced stage, the biliary system may be infected with bacteria or other microorganisms due to many reasons, and the patients will suddenly have chilling symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, trembling of hands, convulsions and so on. Blood culture examination can be done to clarify the cause of infection and standardize the medication. 2. Tumor metastasis: when cholangiocarcinoma develops into advanced stage, cancer cells may spread through other parts of the body and metastasize to the brain, which may lead to shivering when it affects local functions. 3. Other cerebrovascular accidents: some cholangiocarcinoma patients may induce other cerebrovascular diseases, such as cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage and so on, which may lead to trembling and convulsions.
