How to lighten corneal cloudiness

Corneal cloudiness generally does not fade. Corneal cloudiness is scar tissue of varying thickness that forms after corneal disease has healed; this scarring is permanent and generally cannot be recovered. Patients should have their corneal disease detected and treated as early as possible to minimize scar formation. If the corneal opacity is located in the periphery of the cornea or is small in extent and has no significant effect on vision, it usually requires no treatment. If the patient’s corneal opacity causes vision loss, corneal transplantation can be taken to improve vision. Patients should pay attention to eye hygiene and try to avoid rubbing the eyes to avoid irritating the cornea. They should also ensure sufficient rest and avoid excessive use of eyes, such as reading books or playing with cell phones for a long time. Patients are advised to consult the ophthalmology department of regular hospitals and choose the treatment according to their actual situation.
