The watermelon bug herb is called Mouse Woman, which has the effects of diuretic and diaphoretic (improving the problem of incomplete urination and small amount of urine), emmenagogue and pain relief, and breaking the obstruction in the abdomen (lumps in women’s lower abdomen), and can be used to treat a variety of diseases such as dysuria (irregular urination), menstrual obstruction in the abdomen, and swelling and pain in the throat.
According to Chinese medicine, it is warm and acidic in nature, belongs to the liver, small intestine and bladder meridians, and is good at inducing diuresis, relieving menstrual pain, and breaking up impediments in the abdomen. Clinically, it is often paired with peach kernel, safflower, salvia, red peony, and other traditional Chinese medicines, to treat menstrual obstruction and impediments in the abdomen caused by stasis and blood stagnation. For patients with mouth and tongue sores, sore throat, dysuria, and hemorrhagic drenching (the appearance of blood in the urine accompanied by pain), it can be used as a single herb to treat them.
Mangosteen can also be used clinically to improve postoperative pain, convulsions (a pediatric disease characterized by dizziness, convulsions, and seizures), thrush, and painful tooth decay. The drug is contraindicated in pregnant women, and those who do not have stagnation in the body need to avoid using it.
Side effects of rat poison are not clear, patients need to strictly follow the method and dosage instructed by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners when using the drug, and not to use the drug privately.
