Can a man with AB blood type and a woman with O blood type get married?



Male AB blood type and female O blood type can get married and have a baby with blood type A or B.

Blood type generally has no effect on marriage, but father AB blood type and mother O blood type such parents ABO blood type incompatibility, may lead to hemolysis of the newborn baby, the baby’s red blood cell antigens through the placenta into the body of the mother of blood type O, the mother produces anti-A and anti-B antibodies, and then through the placenta into the body of the fetus, destroying the red blood cells caused by hemolysis.

The incidence of hemolysis associated with ABO blood group incompatibility between mother and baby is not high. Even if hemolysis occurs, as long as it is handled in a timely manner, there are usually no serious consequences.
