It is not possible to calibrate an electronic sphygmomanometer yourself, it needs to be done by the manufacturer. The accuracy of an electronic sphygmomanometer can be judged by measuring the blood pressure value with a mercury column sphygmomanometer as a reference.
Electronic sphygmomanometers are set up by the manufacturer before they leave the factory, and it is usually not possible to calibrate an electronic sphygmomanometer yourself; if calibration is required, it should be returned to the manufacturer for completion.
However, you can judge the accuracy of the electronic sphygmomanometer by measuring the brachial artery blood pressure with a mercury column sphygmomanometer and the brachial artery blood pressure with an electronic sphygmomanometer. If the difference between the two blood pressure values is no more than 10-20 mmHg, the electronic sphygmomanometer can be considered to be more accurate in measuring blood pressure.
It is recommended that hypertensive patients and those with high risk factors should measure their blood pressure regularly, and should consult a doctor in time if they have any uncomfortable symptoms such as dizziness.
