The main clinical causes of cracked ears are the following: 1) trauma to the ear surface, which leads to tearing of the skin and subcutaneous cartilage on the ear surface, resulting in cracked ears. 2) some patients have eczema-like changes on the ear surface, and long-term eczema stimulates the skin of the ear to become cracked. The skin of the ears is usually dry, and some patients drink less water, eat less vegetables and fruits, and have a serious lack of vitamins, which can also easily lead to local skin cracking. All in all, patients with localized ear cracking should be combined with the patient’s medical history and physical examination for a comprehensive analysis.
