The 50-year-old patient with dry throat and phlegm due to too much heat in the ambrosia, can follow the doctor’s instructions to decoct Chinese medicines such as Chuanbeimu, Fatty Sea, Luo Han Guo and so on. There is no such thing as drinking what substitute tea drink works well, the active ingredients of Chinese medicine in water are limited and generally do not achieve the therapeutic effect.
Chuan Beimu taste bitter, sweet, sex slightly cold, belonging to the lung, heart meridian. It has the effect of clearing heat and moisturizing the lungs, resolving phlegm and relieving cough. It can be used to relieve lung-heat and dry cough, dry cough with little phlegm, cough due to yin deficiency, cough with blood in phlegm, scrofula (mainly refers to tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes), mammary carbuncle (redness, swelling and pain in the breasts, with poor discharge of milk, and eventual suppurative disease), lung carbuncle, and other diseases. It is not suitable to be used with medicines of the class of epiphyllum.
Fatty sea water is sweet in flavor, cold in nature, and belongs to the lung and large intestine meridians. It has the effect of clearing heat and moistening the lungs, facilitating pharyngeal opening, moistening the intestines and laxative, soaking water and drinking it can alleviate the symptoms of lung heat and mute voice, dry cough with no phlegm, dry and sore throat, heat knot and closed stools, headache and eye redness. Spleen and stomach cold diarrhea should be taken with caution.
Luo Han Guo is sweet in flavor, cool in nature, and belongs to the lung and large intestine meridian. It has the effect of clearing heat and moistening the lung, inducing pharyngeal pain and opening up the voice, lubricating the intestines to pass stools, and is suitable for people with lung-heat and dry cough, sore throat and loss of voice, and intestinal dryness and constipation.
The adverse effects of the above drugs are not clear. Patients who are not feeling well are advised to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment. It is not advisable to self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
