Inflammation of the throat is often an acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and may include tonsillitis. Tonsillitis refers to acute tonsillitis, and there are some differences in the site of its onset, main causes and common symptoms.

2. Etiology: the main cause of inflammation of the throat is due to viral infections that occur as a result of decreased resistance. Inflammation of the tonsils is usually caused by infection with Streptococcus B hemolyticus.
3. Symptoms: common symptoms of throat inflammation include hoarseness, sore throat, cough, phlegm, dry and itchy throat. Clinical symptoms of tonsillitis are characterized by sore throat and increased pain when swallowing, while simple inflammation of the tonsils does not cause hoarseness, cough and phlegm.
It is sometimes not easy to distinguish between inflammation of the throat and tonsillitis, and patients need to go to the hospital for further examination to identify the specific cause of throat discomfort.
