This product has diuretic and decongestant effects, and can treat cirrhotic ascites, or advanced schistosomal ascites, and is effective when taken with a decoction of this product alone. It is slightly bitter, sweet and cold, and belongs to the stomach, large intestine and small intestine meridians, and has the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, dampness and laxative. For carbuncles and sores, it can be taken internally alone, or freshly pounded and applied externally. White Flower and Snake Tongue Herb can treat sore throat and can be used together with Scutellaria baicalensis and Yuan Shen. Its diuretic effect can treat painful urination caused by urinary tract infection.
