Effects and efficacy of Enrichen

The chemical name of Enricon is Donepezil Hydrochloride and is the most common drug used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. It is now believed that the pathogenesis of dementia symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease is partly related to low cholinergic neurotransmission. Donepezil hydrochloride may exert its therapeutic effect by enhancing the function of cholinergic nerves. The mechanism of action is the reversible inhibition of acetylcholinesterase hydrolysis of acetylcholine, thereby increasing acetylcholine concentrations. The functional indication is the treatment of mild or moderate symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease dementia. The initial therapeutic dose for adults is 5 mg orally once a day at night before bedtime. After at least about 1 month of maintenance, the dose may be increased to 10 mg once a day, and the effect may be better. It is important to be aware of the adverse drug effects and interactions when taking it for a long time. Although Alzheimer’s disease dementia cannot be cured, persistent use of Advil can provide relief and patients should be advised to take Advil under the guidance of a doctor.
