Methods of lung resection

Currently, the commonly used methods of lung resection are mainly open thoracic pneumonectomy, including single lobe, multilobar and unilateral lung resection. The second is thoracoscopic lung resection, including localized and unilobar lung resection. Open lung resection is more invasive and less well tolerated by the patient, while thoracoscopic resection is less invasive. The modality of lung resection depends on the nature of the disease, the purpose of the operation and the physical condition of the patient undergoing lung resection. The indications for lung resection are: 1, lung abscess, conservative treatment with drugs for more than 3 months, the effect is not obvious. 2, chronic fibro-caseous tuberculosis that has not been cured for a long time, and the foci are concentrated in a certain lobe of the lung. 3, bronchiectasis, conservative treatment, there are still recurrent hemoptysis, and the foci are localized in a certain place. 4, the diagnosis of the lungs of the suspicious nodular shadow, and the cause of the unknown pulmonary atelectasis. 5. Clearly diagnosed malignant tumors of the lungs, suitable for surgical treatment.
