Is laparoscopic cholecystectomy risky?

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is relatively low risk. Surgery is an invasive way of removing diseased tissue for the purpose of treating a disease. All surgeries have risks, and although laparoscopic cholecystectomy is minimally invasive, it is still a surgery, so there are definitely risks, such as anesthesia risk, intraoperative bleeding risk, etc. However, this surgery is currently developing more mature technology, and the risk is relatively small. Before the surgery is performed, the patient must undergo a professional systematic assessment by a specialized physician and complete relevant examinations such as electrocardiogram and chest radiographs to clarify whether he/she can tolerate the surgical treatment. After the systematic evaluation, the operation will be performed by a specialized surgeon, and care must be taken during the process.
