Sperm abnormality test is the measurement of sperm abnormality rate, which is an important indicator for evaluating the quality of sperms of the examined men as a way to understand the fertility of men. Sperm abnormality rate is the percentage of sperm with abnormal morphology. In general, the higher the sperm abnormality rate, the poorer the sperm quality and the lower the fertility; although the WHO manual 5th edition has a normal reference of 4% for normal sperm morphology, the clinical value of sperm abnormality rate needs to be further verified by evidence-based medicine. The morphology of sperms will directly affect the fertilization ability of sperms; therefore, if men find that the proportion of abnormal sperms is too high through semen examination, they should go to regular hospitals and follow the doctor’s instruction to do the treatment and daily conditioning work to improve the quality of sperms.
