What is the cause of tightening pain in the stomach and diarrhea?

Tightening pain in the stomach and diarrhea are common symptoms of the onset of acute gastroenteritis and cholecystitis and require prompt treatment. Tightening pain is a manifestation of colic, which is mainly caused by spasm and contraction of smooth muscles of the organs, and eating food contaminated with bacteria can thus induce an attack of acute gastroenteritis. During the attack, the patient’s digestive tract will spasm due to the stimulation caused by bacteria, and the patient will have diarrhea at the same time because of the accelerated peristaltic movement of the intestines due to the inflammatory stimulation factor. Patients with cholecystitis should eat a light diet, as eating high-fat foods can trigger an acute attack of cholecystitis. During an acute attack, the patient will experience spasmodic pain in the abdomen due to inflammatory stimulation, accompanied by nausea and diarrhea. The spasmodic pain can be relieved by appropriate massage and oral antispasmodic and analgesic drugs, and can be treated with amoxicillin plus anti-inflammatory and biliary tablets if caused by cholecystitis.
