Can routine blood tests detect lymphoma?

Generally blood routine cannot detect lymphoma, because lymphoma is lymphoma, which is a malignant tumor of immune system, and the most common invasion parts are lymph nodes of human body as well as extra-nodal organs. Lymphoma is a substantial neoplastic disease, so it can be seldom detected when passing blood routine examination. There is only one special case, which is the advanced stage of lymphoma. Due to the invasion of lymphoma into the bone marrow, lymphoma cells proliferate in the bone marrow and are released into the peripheral blood, and at the same time, the patient suffers from a series of symptoms, such as anemia, infection, and hemorrhage, etc. This case is called lymphomatous leukemia. A small amount of lymphoma cells in the blood can be detected through routine blood test, however, this can only be detected in the late stage of lymphoma. To confirm the diagnosis of lymphoma in the early stage of the disease, the most effective way is to do pathological biopsy, take out the lymphoma tissues for staining and observation under the microscope, and do the immune-histochemistry staining in order to diagnose it as lymphoma.
