The color of stool will be different at different periods of the lesion in intussusception. The color of stool in the early stage can be normal color, such as yellow or brown. With the prolongation of the time of intussusception, the color of stool is dark red, similar to jam like blood stool. 1. In the early stage of intussusception, there is no bleeding and exudation from the intestinal tube, and the stool may be of normal color, such as yellow or brown stool. 2. When the intussusception is prolonged and the intestinal wall is damaged due to intussusception, there is bloody exudation, which is manifested as bloody stools, and the typical symptom is jam-like bloody stools. In addition to bloody stools, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, abdominal salami shaped mass, air or barium enema can be diagnosed. When jam-like blood stool, abdominal pain, and abdominal mass are found, intussusception needs to be considered, and timely hospitalization and air enema reset treatment should be performed to avoid necrosis of the intestinal wall.
