What’s wrong with the itchy and painful anus?

There are many reasons for anal pain and itching: the first common one is perianal eczema, such as perianal fungal infection, which can easily lead to perianal skin radiating chaps and local secretion of mucus, resulting in anal itching and pain. The second more common cause is anal fissures, which are fissures in the skin of the anal canal caused by dry stools. If the fissures are not treated in time, the course of the disease will recur, leading to the triad of anal fissures: anal fissures, hypertrophic anal papillae, and anterior sentinel hemorrhoids. Mucus or stool can sometimes irritate the fissure wound, which can lead to pain and itching at the anal opening. The third more common cause is mixed hemorrhoids, which are a kind of varicose vein mass that can easily lead to tortuous and swollen hemorrhoid nuclei during constipation and repeatedly prolapse out of the anus, and the hemorrhoid nuclei can sometimes carry feces or mucus out of the anus, thus leading to pain and itching at the anal opening.
