Consistent Decoction is effective in nourishing yin and dredging the liver, and is used in treating liver and kidney yin deficiency and liver qi stagnation, and is widely used in clinical practice.
Consistent Decoction is a yin nourishing formula composed of Radix Panax Ginseng, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparatae, Fructus Lycii and Neem Ziziphi, which has the effect of nourishing yin and detoxifying the liver, and is used in treating deficiency of yin in liver and kidney and stagnant liver qi. It manifests as chest and epigastric coercive pain (pain in the area of coercion and ribs), acid swallowing (swallowing the acid in the stomach that goes up to the oropharynx) and bitter vomiting, dry throat and mouth, red tongue with little fluid, and weak pulse.
Use requires decoction with water. Adverse effects and contraindications are not clear.
