Milk flowing from the nose at 8 months may be caused by physiologic factors, indigestion, acute gastroenteritis and other reasons.
1. Physiological factors: Usually, the child’s stomach is in a horizontal position. If the child eats too much milk or doesn’t burp after eating milk, the milk may overflow and come out of the nose with the change of body position.
2. Indigestion: If your child suffers from indigestion, the milk may overflow and come out of the nose.
3. Acute gastroenteritis: If your child has acute gastroenteritis, milk may overflow and come out of the nose.
There may be other reasons for the 8-month-old’s milk flowing out of his nose, so it is recommended that he go to the hospital in time for a complete examination to determine the cause of the illness and then give targeted treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
